The Roth Legacy Continues
With the blessing of long-time owner Jim Cole, Roth Heating & Air is excited to announce a new chapter in its rich history. Since joining the company in 1955 and becoming its owner in 1984, Jim has dedicated 69 years to building a business grounded in strong values, trust, and community. As he enters retirement, Jim’s foremost priority was ensuring Roth Heating & Air would be in capable hands. Confident in his decision, Jim is passing the torch to Brad and Michelle Freeman, who share his unwavering commitment to the company’s Christian principles, its employees, and its customers.
Brad and Michelle Freeman may be new owners, but they are certainly no strangers to the Roth family. Brad began his career with Roth Heating & Air in 1987, starting as a trainee and advancing through every department over the years. Most recently, he served as Vice-President and Operations Manager, helping lead the company’s day-to-day operations. As of July 16, 2024, Brad has assumed the role of President and Co-owner, alongside Michelle, who will continue contributing to the company’s future with the same care and dedication that has made Roth a trusted name in the community for decades.
Brad and Michelle are also proud to welcome their son, Josh Freeman, to the team. Having spent summers learning the ropes as an apprentice, Josh has now returned to Roth after graduating from Wichita State University with experience in office management and accounting. He steps into the role vacated by Jim’s daughter, Laiketa Brown, who is retiring after an impressive 49-year tenure. Together, Brad, Michelle, and Josh are committed to carrying forward Roth’s tradition of excellence and family values.
Both the Freeman and Cole families have recently endured the loss of beloved family members. Bev Cole, Jim’s wife and a pillar of Roth Heating & Air for 67 years, passed away on January 14, 2023. Brad and Michelle’s son, Casey Freeman, who worked with the company as an installer, service technician, and On-Call Supervisor, passed away on December 29, 2023. Bev and Casey were both aware of the transition to new ownership, and their legacies live on through the work and spirit of Roth Heating & Air.
Roth Heating & Air Conditioning remains dedicated to delivering the same outstanding HVAC services that have made it “The Name You Can Trust Since 1955.” With the Freemans at the helm, customers can expect the same family-oriented service, with an unwavering commitment to treating customers with care and employees like family. The company will continue to honor all service contracts and warranties, ensuring business as usual.
As the next chapter begins, Roth Heating & Air looks forward to maintaining and strengthening the relationships that have been built over nearly seven decades. The entire Roth team deeply values the support of its customers and is excited for future.
